Help us raise $2,500 to bring Black writers together in the woods this October.
This fall, Autumn Society will host our annual writing retreat—a weekend in the woods filled with walks, shared meals, and quiet time to write. It will be a turning point in our journey, and we need your help to make it possible.
We’re raising $2,500 to cover the cost of cabin rental, food, supplies, and facilitation. If we exceed our goal, any remaining funds will go directly toward supporting future retreats and Field Day programming.

- Lodging for a 3-day, 2-night retreat in a quiet natural setting
- Healthy, shared meals each day
- Yoga and reflection practices
- Two daily writing workshops using the Amherst Writers & Artists method
- Instruction and materials for Grinnell field notes
- Field notebooks and writing supplies
